THE ARD BUFFET MAGAZINE from Germany placed my Easter egg dying project using homemade all-natural egg dyes.
Colorful Easter eggs are a welcome sign of spring. Homemade all-natural egg dyes (such as onion peels, red cabbage, turmeric and dried flower petals) will be a fun kitchen project which can turn into a bit of a science experiment. To achieve some special colours and patterns try mixing different dyes, letting some eggs soak longer than others and create all kind of patterns by wrapping them together with fresh and dryed herbs. To dye your eggs, all you need is water, a dash of plain white vinegar, your choice of dye and some wrapping material to fix the imprint.
